Gary completed his HND (Civil Engineering) in 1985 at Wits Technikon whilst he was employed by Group 5 as a Site Engineer. He joined Grinaker-LTA in 1988 as Contracts Manager for the (then) Grinaker Precast Company and became the Factory Manager of the Rossway operation in 1994. With the formation of INFRASET in 2000 he was appointed Manufacturing Executive responsible for several of INFRASET’S operations and in 2005 he moved into the role of GM and Director responsible for the Landscape & Building Products division. He was appointed Managing Director of INFRASET in September 2009
Kobus Burger - Director - GM Railway Products Division
Kobus completed his HND (Civil Engineering) at the Vaal Technikon in 1980 and then joined Railway and Civil Engineering Construction (RACEC). He became a Contracts Manager in 1985 and was appointed as the Project Engineer responsible for the coal export line relaying project in 1988. During 1991 Kobus joined Fraser Alexander Mining Services and was part of the team that concluded a management buy-out and established the Econotrack company. He sold his interests during 1996 and joined Grinaker Duraset as Product Manager for Railway Products. When INFRASET was established in 2000, Kobus became the Marketing Executive responsible for Railway Products. He was appointed as a Director of INFRASET, in charge of the Railway Products Division in July 2005.
Francois Myburgh - Director - GM Infrastructure Products Division
Francois has been with the Grinaker-LTA group since 1980 when he joined as a sales person for Vianini Pipes (Ltd). He later joined Fraser Fyfe when Vianini was taken over by Fraser Alexander in 1987 and became a Director of Fraser Fyfe in 1992. With the acquisition of Fraser Fyfe in 2000, Francois was appointed as Marketing Director for INFRASET. Since July 2005 he has been appointed as the Director in charge of the Infrastructure Products Division for INFRASET. Francois has diplomas in Marketing and Business Management.
Mike Nkosi - Director - GM New Business Development
Mike graduated with a BA (Double major in Mathematics and Economics) degree, as well as a concurrent Diploma in Education, from the Swaziland University in 1985. He obtained his MA (Banking and Finance) degree from the University of Sheffield in 1987. His career started with the Swaziland Industrial Development Corporation where he progressed to Finance Executive. He later joined UAL Merchant Bank as Manager for Public Sector Finance and then moved to TELKOM as Executive in charge of BEE. Mike also served as a Director of Comparex Africa and was involved in several private entrepeneurial business opportunities before he joined INFRASET as a non-executive Director in 2004. He was appointed as an Executive Director of INFRASET in 2005, responsible for New Business Development and BEE.
Graham Urry - Director - GM Finance and Administration
Graham obtained his CIS qualification in 1986 and joined the Grinaker-LTA group in 1989 as Financial Accountant for Steeledale at their Cape Town operation. He became the Financial Manager for the KZN operation of Steeledale in 1994 and was appointed Financial Director in 1995. In 1999 Graham was appointed Business Audit Manager for the Steeledale Group. He became the Financial Director for the Mining Division of Steeledale in 2001 and transferred to INFRASET during 2002 as Financial Director.
Frank D’Amico - Quality and Training Executive
Frank completed his HND (Materials) at Pretoria Technikon in 1975. He joined the (then) Grinaker Precast company in 1980 as a quality controller and has over the years served in several senior positions. He became Factory Manager at Grinaker Duraset's Virginia factory in 1987 and became Grinaker Duraset's National Quality Manager in 1991. With the formation of Infraset in 2000, Frank assumed the position of National Quality, Training and Safety Executive for the company.
